Plot

In the sleepy seaside hamlet of Piedras Blancas, an ominous shadow of terror unfurls as a series of gruesome murders plague the community. The chilling line-up of victims, ranging from a chatty shopkeeper to an innocent little girl and a pair of unsuspecting brothers fishing at the coast, leaves not only a trail of bloodless, decapitated bodies, but also a blanket of fear and confusion. Even the town's stalwart sheriff and his deputy, along with a duo of scientists, are left grappling for answers amidst the inexplicable horror. The dread intensifies when the enigma points towards a prehistoric creature, a monstrous relic from a bygone era. Resembling a grotesque parody of the 'Creature from the Black Lagoon', this beast is a haunting evolutionary conundrum, bridging the gap between aquatic and terrestrial lifeforms. The coastal town's somber lighthouse, usually a beacon of safety, harbors a disturbing secret β€” the curmudgeonly, widowed lighthouse keeper has been nurturing this aquatic nightmare, feeding it for the past decade. His isolation from the townsfolk and the melancholy of his loss shroud his actions, but the monster's escalating hunger and its insatiable bloodlust outpace his ability to satiate it. This triggers a horrifying chain of events leading to an ultimate showdown between the town's reluctant benefactor and the creature he unwittingly unleashed. In the fatal climax, the lighthouse's blinding light illuminates the grim dance of death between the lighthouse keeper and the monster. As the light fades, both the creature and its feeder meet their tragic ends, leaving the town of Piedras Blancas to grapple with the aftermath of the terror that once roamed its shores.
