Xavier Lombard, a Parisian-turned-London private investigator, carries the weight of the world in his heart, finding solace in his friendship with Nathalie, an elegant escort. His monotony breaks when an old ally from his past in the Parisian police, now a prosperous businessman, seeks his help to find a missing brother-in-law.
