Plot

On a seemingly idyllic summer day, Ray Pye, a charismatic yet sinister 19-year-old, shatters the tranquility of a peaceful campground when he brutally murders two young women. His companions, the loyal Jen and Tim, become unwilling accomplices as they help him cover his dark deeds. The crime echoes through the years, haunting the town, yet remains unpunished. Enter seasoned Detective Charlie Schilling and his ex-partner, Ed Anderson, who have always known the truth but lacked the evidence to pin the crime on Ray. Determined more than ever, Charlie is ready to turn up the heat, setting off a high-stakes game of cat and mouse. As the tension mounts, Ray's world is further complicated by the arrival of Katherine Wallace, a fiery newcomer whose allure matches his own dangerous charm. Their chemistry is electric, volatile, a ticking time bomb waiting to detonate. Meanwhile, Ed embarks on a questionable summer romance with Sally Richmond, a girl young enough to be his daughter. Unbeknownst to them, Sally has just landed a job at the motel Ray manages and unwittingly steps into his crosshairs. The secrets of the past refuse to stay buried. Hidden behind Ray's bathroom mirror are the very instruments of his past crime - a rifle and a handgun. As Charlie relentlessly pressures him, and his fascination with Sally grows, Ray is pushed to the edge. The moment looms closer when he will rip the mirror from the wall, revealing the hidden tools of his dark trade and asserting his deadly dominance. A storm is brewing in this small town, where secrets, lies and unrequited desires converge, threatening to expose the chilling truth and ignite a deadly confrontation.
