Plot
As the American Frank Pryor (played by Lloyd Bridges) descends upon London, he carries with him the embers of a romance paused six years prior, with the enigmatic Pauline French (Moira Lister). His arrival, however, is marred by a chilling occurrence - a man standing nearby is inexplicably gunned down by an unseen sniper, plunging Pryor into a labyrinth of inquiries by Scotland Yard.
Once released, Pryor seeks solace in Pauline's apartment, only to unearth an unsettling revelation - Pauline's past is entwined with that of the recently deceased, a secret she guards fiercely. Scotland Yard, already clued into this clandestine connection, keeps a watchful eye on the pair.
As the tale unfolds, the plot thickens with the introduction of the deceased man's grieving widow, and a startling discovery. The man Pauline knew, presumed dead, is not only alive but also concealing a different identity. With each turn, the story plunges deeper into a web of secrecy, deceit, and unexpected twists, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats.
