In the throbbing heart of pre-colonial Africa, Tilai unfurls a tale of forbidden love and its profound repercussions. When Saga, entwined with the essence of a nomad, returns to his village after a significant hiatus, he finds his father entangled in a scandalous liaison with Nogma - a woman once promised to Saga himself. Undeterred by societal norms, Saga and Nogma reignite their passionate love, a love that society deems as incestuous.
In the inevitable aftermath of their discovered affair, Saga's brother, Koudri, feigns fratricide in an attempt to reclaim the tarnished honor of their family and village. Fearing further repercussions, Saga and Nogma escape to the refuge of another settlement. However, when the veil of life lifts from Nogma's birth mother, Saga, bound by love and duty, finds himself returning to his homeland.
The return, however, unveils a tragic fate. Saga, the pariah who brought disgrace upon his family, meets his end at the hands of his own brother, Koudri. Resigned to his fate, Koudri ventures into a self-imposed exile, walking towards an uncertain future and a probable death. Thus, Tilai paints a stirring portrait of love, honor, and the devastating consequences of forbidden passions.
