Big Daddy (1999)

32 year old Sonny Koufax earned his law degree and then settled into a life of idleness. The payout from a lawsuit has allowed him to skate by unemployed for years, but his long-suffering girlfriend is sick of his lack of ambition. When she finally decides to leave him, Sonny tries to win her back by taking a kid under his wing under the pretext that he's adopted him. But he slowly finds himself growing attached to his surrogate son and changing to better be the parental figure the kid needs. He'll soon learn that growing up means you have to own up to your mistakes.
