The Killer (2006)

In the underbelly of Dubai, an unsuspected menace lurks in the form of a seemingly ordinary Indian taxi driver, Nikhil Joshi (Emraan Hashmi), a hopeful youth chasing dreams of prosperity. His modest life revolves around his cab and his consuming love for the enchanting bar girl, Ria (Nisha Kothari). Yet, the romantic tranquillity of his existence is shattered when he crosses paths with a mysterious businessman, Vikram (Irrfan Khan), whose chilling intentions are anything but ordinary. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in India has been tracking a sinister pattern of cab drivers turned killers across Malaysia and Hong Kong, who orchestrate a deadly spree only to end their own lives. Now, a similar threat hovers over the glimmering sands of Dubai. CBI's seasoned officer, Ranvir Oberoi, joins forces with Dubai Police, aiming to safeguard witnesses set to testify against the notorious Dubai-based Don, Jabbar. But the safety net begins to unravel as one by one, the witnesses meet their untimely end. Nikhil, initially a puppet in Vikram's terrifying plot, becomes a prime suspect when surveillance footage places him at the scene of the recent murders.
