When the industrious titan Waring Hudsucker, the driving force behind the empire of Hudsucker Industries, shockingly takes his own life, a devious scheme begins to unfold within the company's boardroom. The conniving Sidney Mussberger, the cunning mind steering the board of directors, hatches a lucrative, yet malicious plan to capitalize on the company's impending downfall: to install an absolute imbecile at the helm of the company. Enter Norville Barnes, a naively optimistic newcomer who's barely made his mark in the mailroom.
