In the quaint simplicity of a small town, there lives a widowed country doctor, still entranced by the enduring love for her late husband, Michael. Two years have passed, yet her heart remains entwined with his memory, resisting the persistent attempts of her father-in-law to entice her into the arms of the town's available bachelors. As the festive week of the county fair approaches, she finds herself cornered by her father-in-law's cunning ploy: a deal intertwining the care of her cherished bull with her participation in the fair, escorted by an eligible suitor. In a bold act of defiance, she decides to outwit him by hiring a dashing male escort to masquerade as her lover at the fair.
