Plot

In the gritty underbelly of Los Angeles, fate intertwines two desperate men, Paul Weston, a down-on-his-luck gambler, and Roger Hargitay, a beleaguered stock market broker. Both owe colossal sums of money — Paul to a menacing mobster named Freddie, and Roger to his duplicitous employers who have embezzled millions from their clients. Their lives are spiraling, debts piling, and time is a luxury they cannot afford. When Paul suffers a brutal beating at the hands of Freddie's goons, his friendly bartender, Vinnie, offers him a lifeline. He introduces Paul to Dr. Charlie Brooks and the slick thief Gene. These unsavory characters promise him an opportunity to clear his massive debt through an audacious heist in the jewelry district. Meanwhile, Roger's boss, Ed Koster, presents a similar proposition — participate in a seemingly effortless robbery to wipe the slate clean. As Saturday morning dawns, both Paul and Roger, led by their respective gangs, converge on the same jewelry store. Unbeknownst to them, they've been seduced by the same deceptively "easy" score. The store's quiet facade explodes into chaos as the two crews collide, sparking a frenetic gun battle. Suddenly, this hapless gambler and embattled broker find themselves in a deadly dance with each other and the police. In "The Hard Easy," a world steeped in shadows and deception, survival is a high-stakes game. Paul and Roger, bound by their shared predicament, must navigate this treacherous terrain, where nothing is as it seems and the only rule is to survive. In a twist of fate, they must partner up and turn the tables on their dismal destiny, making their escape in a world where luck is the only currency that counts.
