Plot

In the midst of the 1845 Viennese society, a man named Johann Strauss II, fondly known as Schani among his comrades, harbors a deep-seated passion for crafting enchanting waltzes, much to the chagrin of the conservative society that deems such music improper. Upon losing his mundane bank job due to his unyielding preoccupation with composition, Schani makes a bold move, choosing to chase his dream and establish his orchestra. As fate would have it, his captivating melodies catch the ear of renowned opera talents, including the alluring Carla Donner, spreading his music far and wide, from the hushed whispers of the masses to the resounding halls of royalty, and into the hands of influential music publisher, Julius Hofbauer. Suddenly, Schani, the new darling of Vienna, finds his life irrevocably altered, not just by his burgeoning fame, but also by his involvement in the tumultuous European Revolutions. A life-altering choice lies before him, as he finds himself caught in the crossroads of love. On one hand, there is his endearing wife Poldi Vogelhuber, a symbol of steadfast love and loyalty. On the other, there's the fiery Carla Donner, whose love burns with an intensity that threatens to consume, even as she herself is entwined with the enigmatic Count Anton Hohenfried. Schani's life, once marked by the rhythm of his waltzes, now dances to a far more complex tune.
