Plot

In the heart of New York's glitz and glamour, the suave playboy pilot, Pete 'Pete' Van Allen, finds himself entangled in an unusual love triangle when he weds the acclaimed pianist, Sandra Kovak. The celebration is short-lived, as his lawyer, Lock Thompson, unveils a shocking truth - their marriage is null and void due to Sandra's unresolved divorce. A sudden turn of events takes Pete back to Maryland, into the comforting presence of his ex-fiancée, Maggie Patterson. The country charm of her farm and an enticing job offer from her uncle leads Pete to reconsider his decisions. Upon his return to New York, he discovers Sandra's unavailability for a second wedding due to a concert commitment. Seizing the opportunity, Pete proposes to Maggie, and the two are swiftly married. The plot thickens when Maggie discovers that Sandra is carrying Pete's unborn child, and Pete suddenly goes missing, his whereabouts unknown despite exhaustive searches. In an unexpected twist, Maggie offers a handsome sum to Sandra to adopt her unborn child. However, the tale takes a dramatic turn when Pete reappears from the shadows of his presumed demise in Manaus. With Pete's return, tensions rise as Sandra, armed with her explosive secret, threatens to disrupt the newfound tranquility in Pete and Maggie's lives. With Pete and the child as the stakes, the stage is set for a tense showdown between Sandra and Maggie, an emotional tug-of-war with love, deceit, and a desperate desire to protect what they believe to be rightfully theirs.
