Plot
Catherine the Great exercised brilliance, wit, and power in her rise to absolute power over an entire era of Russian history, but this satirical series isn't concerned with historical accuracy. It follows a young Catherine before she became the wise monarch she was. Her marriage to Emperor Peter III was made for political reasons, but she's decided that he's too dangerous to let live. As she schemes to assassinate a monarch, she'll have to deal with the agendas of others within the Russian court as well as loyalists who will sell her out if they get a whiff of what she's planning.
