Plot

Infused with a heavy dose of humor, The God Complex takes a whimsical dive into the most amusing tales of the Bible and, with a dash of rationality, gives them an even more absurd twist. The film welcomes a motley crew of beloved characters, including God and his sweetheart Barb, the flamboyantly fabulous Joseph, the pristine Virgin Mary along with her trusted gynecologist, Noah and his loving wife Yessah with their sons named after your favorite deli meats - Ham, Swiss, and Rye. Not forgetting the original sinners, Adam and Eve, accompanied by their third wheel, Pete, the perpetually challenged Moses, the beleaguered Job and, of course, the superstar - Jesus. This film embarks on a journey from the genesis of creation to the present day, where God and Jesus adopt the guise of unassuming workers at a bustling toy manufacturing company in a cosmopolitan city. Having graced the screens at the 2010 Burbank International Film Festival and the 2011 International Freethought Film Festival, The God Complex also holds the honor of being the official non-selection at a further ten prestigious film festivals. This comedic retelling weaves a complex web of divine mischief, creating a cinematic experience worth witnessing.
