The Fundamentals of Caring (2016)

Ben used to be a successful writer, but he finds himself unable to write after the loss of his son. It's a tragedy that's also cost him his marriage. At a crossroads, he decides to find work as a caregiver and is given the task of watching after a teenager with muscular dystrophy. Trevor is affected both by his disease and the absence of his father, and Ben has to adjust both his schedule and his way of thinking to help Trevor. Hoping to find a way to help Trevor, Ben decides to take the teen on a road trip. Along the way, Trevor helps him come to terms with his own loss.
