In the throes of a catastrophic flood, twin shepherd brothers Romulus and Remus, along with their humble livestock, are swept away by the merciless Tiber river. Their lives are spared by a twist of fate, but they are stripped of their possessions and thrust into the shackles of slavery in the formidable city of Alba. Within the city's oppressive walls, their bond is tested as they are forced to engage in brutal combat against each other.
