On an idyllic journey from the serene landscapes of New Zealand to the vibrant shores of Fiji, a group of adventure-seeking twenty-somethings charters a grand sailboat, anticipating a holiday of a lifetime. The initial part of their voyage is steeped in the bliss of perfect camaraderie until the second day when a mysterious mist engulfs their vessel, casting an eerie pallor over the azure seascape.
Their tranquility is further shattered by an urgent distress call picked up on the radio. Driven by a mix of curiosity and concern, they steer their yacht to the aid of the vessel in distress. Emerging from the spectral mist, a drifting fishing boat presents itself, bearing only one survivor whose eyes tell tales of untold horrors.
Welcoming the survivor aboard, the group unknowingly invites an insidious presence. As the days unfold, peculiar happenings plague the yacht, and the once jovial group begins to act out of character, as if under the control of an invisible puppeteer.
"The Ferryman" is a chilling tale spun around the confrontation with an ancient evil that thirsts for vengeance. As the crew battles the terror that has infiltrated their paradise, they must unravel the mystery of their unwanted guest before they lose themselves completely. The journey that began with a quest for adventure now becomes a desperate fight for survival in the vast, unforgiving ocean.
