The Farmer (1977)

Returning from war a silver-star hero, Kyle Martin finds himself battling a different kind of enemy - the relentless economic struggle of running a solitary farm. As the bank circles his property like a hungry vulture, ready to foreclose, Kyle wrestles with the harsh reality that his heroism on the battlefield means nothing in the face of financial ruin. Fate, however, deals Kyle an unexpected hand when Johnny, a suave gambler with a knack for getting into trouble, crashes his car near the farm. Kyle saves his life, earning gratitude but not enough money to save his land from the clutches of the bank. Johnny's luck runs out when he pulls a fast one on a horse race, swindling local mob boss Passini out of a small fortune. In a chilling act of retribution, Passini and his henchmen blind Johnny with acid, creating a horrifying spectacle meant to send a message to anyone daring to cross him. Desperate, Johnny enlists his girlfriend Betty to make a dangerous proposition to Kyle - eliminate Passini and his thugs one by one, in exchange for the $50,000 he desperately needs to shield his farm from foreclosure. As Kyle embarks on this path of vengeance, the stakes are high and the outcome uncertain, setting the stage for a heart-pounding saga of survival and retribution.
