The Farewell (2019)

An independent and strong American woman named Billi returns to her native China. A feminist, a loud talker and a lover of fast food, she has lived a very American lifestyle, so being back in China is a bit of a shock. Her beloved grandmother is diagnosed with terminal cancer, and only has so long left to live. Billi struggles with the families' decision to keep her grandmother in the dark about her illness, as they want her to enjoy life to the fullest sans-worry. Since they know they only have so much time left, an impromptu wedding is staged.
