In the heart of 1911 Paris, the audacious journalist and authoress, Adèle Blanc-Sec, embarks on a daring mission far from the expected Peruvian adventure that her editor envisions. Instead, she plunges into the ancient tombs and chaotic underworld of Egypt. Her aim? To unearth the mummified remains of a doctor from the reign of Ramses II and transport him back to the City of Lights. Adèle's courageous endeavor is fueled by a personal motive - to cure her twin sister, Agathe Blanc-Sec, who has been trapped in a paralytic and catatonic state for five years, a tragic consequence of an accident for which Adèle feels responsible. Her hope lies in the eccentric Professor Marie-Joseph Espérandieu, an oddball genius with the extraordinary ability to resurrect the dead. She wishes for the professor to breathe life back into the ancient doctor, in the hope that his centuries-old knowledge can restore Agathe. However, back in Paris, Espérandieu's talents have already sparked chaos. The professor, in a bizarre turn of events, has managed to reanimate a prehistoric pterodactyl from what was once a harmless museum egg. The creature wreaks havoc, causing the death of three people and landing Espérandieu in prison with a death sentence hanging over his head. The vibrant Paris of 1911 turns into a ticking time bomb as Adèle must race against time to save the professor from the guillotine, while ensuring the safety of the city from the resuscitated pterodactyl. With the fate of her sister hanging in the balance, this extraordinary adventure becomes a desperate quest for redemption, hope, and the ultimate display of sisterly love.
