The Delta Force (1986)

In the heart-pounding action thriller, The Delta Force (1986), a peaceful journey turns into a horrifying nightmare when Lebanese terrorists, Abdul Rafai and Mustafa, seize control of a Boeing 707 jetliner. Amidst its course from the ancient city of Athens to the romantic capital of Rome, and ultimately to the bustling heart of New York City, the tranquillity is shattered. Brandishing a grenade, the terrorists intimidate Captain Roger Campbell, forcing him to diverge to the volatile grounds of Beirut, Lebanon. Amongst the 144 passengers and eight crew members, a chilling selection takes place. The terrorists coldly segregate the Jewish and Marine passengers who are then transported to Beirut, while twelve additional terrorists board the aircraft. The plane then embarks on a haunting journey to Algiers, where a glimmer of hope ignites as the women and children are released. However, the nightmare is far from over as the plane, now carrying fourteen terrorists, returns to Beirut with the male passengers held captive. In response to this escalating crisis, the Delta Force, a formidable team of commandos, is summoned. Led by the unwavering Colonel Nick Alexander and the tenacious Major Scott McCoy, they are tasked with the daunting mission of diffusing the escalating situation. However, when updated intelligence reveals a larger number of terrorists on the aircraft, the mission is abruptly aborted. Despite this setback, the Delta Force remains resolute and must now navigate dual operations in terrorist-infested regions to liberate the hostages. As the stakes soar sky-high, audiences are left to wonder - can Major McCoy, Colonel Alexander, and their elite team overcome these seemingly insurmountable odds?
