In the heart of the Cold War, esteemed physicist and art connoisseur, James Bower (Montgomery Clift), finds himself entangled in a web of international intrigue. While on vacation in West Germany, Bower is approached by a cryptic CIA agent, Bill Adams (Roddy McDowell), with a mission that could tilt the balance of power. A Russian physicist named Grushenko, privy to the secrets of Soviet missile tests, is keen to defect, offering the West a potential key to winning the space race. The catch?
