In the heart of the swinging sixties, Vicki Robbins, a celebrated pop singer, wilts under the harsh spotlights of her latest music video shoot and succumbs to a debilitating exhaustion. Her concerned doctor urges her to seek solitude and rest on the rustic Seagull Island, home to the enigmatic beekeeper, Ralph Hargrove. Immersing herself in the raw, rural charm of the island, Vicki finds an eerie comfort in the Hargroves' marital discord. Yet, beneath the pastoral facade, a buzzing threat lurks. Hargrove, engrossed in a sinister apiculture project, is breeding a swarm of lethal bees, programmed to assault with fatal consequences. When the Hargroves' dog and the farmer's wife fall victim to the deadly hive, Vicki is thrust into a fight for her survival. With the island's structures succumbing to the flames of her desperate escape, and aided by a fellow beekeeper, she must unveil the secrets of Hargrove's deadly experiment and halt the growing bee menace before she becomes their next target.
