Plot

In the chilling tale of The Curse of the Living Corpse, Rufus Sinclair, a cantankerous old millionaire crippled by an overpowering phobia of being interred alive, draws his last breath. His cryptic will, a sinister testimony of his fears, leaves his indifferent family with a foreboding prophecy. It's a dire warning that if the conditions tied to his demise and interment are not upheld, he will rise from the grave to unleash a ghastly vengeance on each of them. A few days after the will's ominous reading by the family's lawyer, James Benson, the crypt that was to be Rufus's eternal resting place is found empty. This inexplicable vanishing act sets in motion a horrifying sequence of events, echoing the grim retribution Rufus had prophesied. His long-suffering wife, Abigail, is warned of death by fire, while Bruce, the eldest son, is told he will meet a ghastly end marked by disfigurement. Philip, the next in line, is threatened with suffocation, and Vivian, Philip's wife, is doomed to drown. As the eerie prophecy begins to unfold, a masked figure emerges from the shadows, stalking the family's sprawling Connecticut estate. One by one, the family members are hunted down, each falling prey to uniquely terrifying fates. The Curse of The Living Corpse unveils a macabre dance of death as the family's disregard for Rufus's last wishes spirals into a chilling, blood-soaked nightmare. This film is a haunting exploration of revenge from beyond the grave, where disregarding a dead man's plea can lead to the most gruesome of outcomes.
