Plot

In the tragic aftermath of a hit-and-run accident that claimed his daughter's life, Freddy Gale's existence spirals into a cesspool of self-loathing and debauchery. His once vibrant life is now a shadowy landscape tainted by hatred and a thirst for vengeance against John Booth, the man behind the wheel. After serving his sentence, John emerges, a man changed and heavy with regret, ready to stitch the shattered fragments of his life back together. But Freddy, consumed by his relentless obsession, has a different timeline in mind. Upon Booth's release, Gale descends upon him like a specter of doom, promising a deadly retribution in exactly one week. As the days count down, Booth grapples with his guilt, seeking redemption and peace within himself and his circle. A glimmer of romance even finds its way into his life, a stark contrast to Gale's dark descent towards the brink of insanity, fueled by his fixation on Booth. As the week unfurls, the two men are drawn inexorably towards a fateful collision, each grappling with their own demons and the haunting specters of their shared past. The Crossing Guard is a harrowing journey of forgiveness and revenge, a countdown to a dreadful reckoning that will test the limits of their humanity and sanity. Each day brings them one step closer to a climactic confrontation, underlining the stark reality of their intertwined destinies.
