Plot

In the heart of a frost-kissed December, Horace McNickle (Edward Asner), a seasoned con artist with a knack for counterfeiting, finds himself shackled by the cold steel of prison bars. With Christmas just around the corner, McNickle, bearing a striking resemblance to Santa Claus due to his robust figure and snowy beard, hatches a daring plan and escapes his confinement, donned in Santa's iconic red suit. He seeks refuge in a quiet suburban enclave, where he crosses paths with two innocent children, their hearts filled with the enchanting belief that he is the jolly old Saint Nick himself. McNickle, ever the opportunist, exploits their childlike trust to retrieve his concealed counterfeit fortune from a bustling local department store. But as he engages with his youthful accomplices, their pure-hearted innocence begins to tug at his hardened criminal facade. McNickle finds himself caught in a unexpected yuletide transformation, slowly unravelling the genuine spirit of Christmas through the lens of his young friends. In this heartwarming tale of redemption and belief, viewers are reminded that even the coldest hearts can be warmed by the magic of Christmas.
