Plot

In the sun-scorched landscapes of the southern valley, we meet Ahmed, a passionate young agronomist returning to his roots. His father, a respected Headmaster of cultivation, has long been the backbone of their village, a place where life and love intertwine with the rhythm of the seasons. Ahmed carries a tender flame for the landlord's daughter, Nadia, their love story tracing back to their innocent youth. However, their affection is threatened by the landlord's ambitious secretary who harbours his own matrimonial designs on Nadia. Meanwhile, an undercurrent of greed and power stirs within the ranks. The landlord, Basha, a figure of dominance and wealth, exploits the fruits of the village's labor. He takes control over the export of sugarcane, the village's lifeline, disrupting the harmony of their existence. His injustice doesn't stop there; in a calculated move, Basha floods the village, his cruel intentions hidden beneath a veil of false concern for the people's well-being. Unbeknownst to him, his daughter's heart beats for Ahmed, the son of the village. This love becomes the beacon of hope amidst the growing storm of conflict. The village, now torn apart by the flood and the growing enmity between Ahmed and Basha, teeters on the brink of chaos. As Ahmed fights for justice and love, he is caught in a web of accusations and revenge, orchestrated by the vindictive Basha. In the heart of this turmoil, an epic tale of love, betrayal, and resilience unfolds. The Blazing Sun (1954) is a stirring narrative that explores the human spirit's endurance against the backdrop of power struggles, exploitation, and the timeless quest for justice.
