The Betrayed (2008)

In the ominous aftermath of a seemingly hit-and-run car accident, Jamie, a woman in her 30s, awakens to find herself trapped in the cold, unwelcoming confines of a warehouse. Her world is shattered when she realizes her diabetic son, Michael, is missing. The chilling silence is broken by the entrance of a man named Alek, a menacing figure concealed behind a ski mask, who thrusts Jamie into a nightmarish labyrinth of deception and danger. Alek unveils a harrowing tale, claiming that Jamie's seemingly perfect marriage is a facade, a smokescreen for her husband Kevin's treacherous side. He alleges that Kevin has swindled forty million dollars from his ruthless boss Falco and three other formidable drug lords belonging to a malicious crime syndicate. Jamie's skepticism is pushed to its limits when Alek presents chilling evidence - audio tapes not just from Michael but also from her bugged home, painting a picture of a reality she barely recognizes. Caught in this terrifying web of deceit, Jamie is thrown into a race against time. Alek's ultimatum echoes in her mind - she has only 12 hours to uncover a lead to the stolen money or face the unthinkable loss of her son. With her maternal instincts on high alert, Jamie must sift through the layers of lies and betrayal, trying to distinguish truth from illusion.
