Plot

In the foreboding atmosphere of 1938 Berlin, Louise von Hollendorf, wife to the charismatic and successful politician Heinz von Hollendorf, finds herself stepping out of her comfortable life and into the mesmerizing world of art. As the wife of a rising star in pre-war German politics, her life is a model of societal perfection. Yet, her routine is disrupted when she encounters Mitsuko Matsugae, an enthralling Japanese woman who is not only the daughter of the Ambassador of Japan in Berlin but also an enigmatic artist. Their friendship quickly blossoms into an intoxicating love affair, a clandestine dance of passion hidden within the shadows of their public lives. Mitsuko, a seductive siren with a fluid sense of morality, draws Louise into an emotional vortex that eventually ensnares Heinz himself. He tries to dismantle the intoxicating bond between his wife and Mitsuko, only to find himself falling under Mitsuko's irresistible spell. As this love triangle spins wildly out of control, the world around them threatens to shatter their secret haven. Joseph Benno, Mitsuko's art professor and lover, and Wolf, a Gestapo officer who is also Heinz's cousin, begin to circle the trio like vultures, their actions threatening to tear apart the delicate fabric of their forbidden love. The Berlin Affair is a haunting tale of passion and betrayal, set against the ominous backdrop of a nation on the brink of war, promising a journey that ends in a heart-wrenching tragedy.
