The Bélier Family (2014)

This film is about a family drama in which a young girl has to make a tough decision. The father, mother and son of the Beliers family are deaf. Only the daughter can hear. She listens and speaks for the other family members and is their connection to the outside world especially with running their farm. Her music teacher discovers her incredible singing voice and arranges an application to the Maitrise de Radio France singing competition. She is thrilled at the idea but her parents are not. She doesn’t want to disappoint her family, but her future is at stake.
