Plot

In a world where the music industry is more manipulative than melodic, record labels have mastered the art of subliminal messaging, turning unsuspecting teenagers into consumerist zombies. The moment an artist stumbles upon this sinister secret, they are silenced in chilling fashion. This grim fate befalls the popular boy band DuJour, victims of a staged plane crash orchestrated by their cunning manager, Wyatt Frame, and his merciless boss, Fiona. In the small-town shadows, a band named Josie and the Pussycats dreams of the limelight. Comprising Josie, the charismatic lead, the whimsical Melody, and the stalwart Valerie, their ambitions are as harmonious as their music. The void left by DuJour's demise provides the perfect opportunity for Wyatt to groom a new band for his malevolent machinations. Romanced by the glamour of fame, Josie and the Pussycats find themselves catapulted to rock stardom, oblivious to the puppet strings tethering them to the industry's dark underbelly. Will they uncover their roles in this monstrous symphony of exploitation, or will the intoxicating allure of fame deafen their senses? This is a melody of manipulation, a tune of treachery, a ballad of betrayal - this is Josie and the Pussycats.
