The Bay (2012)

In the quaint town of Claridge, Maryland, nestled on the edges of the Chesapeake Bay, the year 2009 witnessed an enigma that has remained shrouded in mystery. The annual 4th of July Crab Festival, a joyous occasion for the townsfolk, was transformed into a ground zero of an inexplicable malady. Citizens began to fall ill, plagued by an array of unsettling symptoms that sparked whispers of a waterborne infection among local journalists. As the illness began to manifest through bizarre behaviors and unprecedented fatalities, fear rapidly morphed into widespread panic. The town was abruptly quarantined, with government agencies swooping in to seize all video evidence from media outlets and private citizens alike, in a desperate bid to bury the truth of the incident. However, a lone local reporter, who was an eye-witness to the terrifying epidemic, managed to salvage, compile, and secret away a film that chronicled the chilling events. Now, this "found-footage" film waits in the shadows, harboring the horrifying truth, ready to expose the grim reality that had befallen Claridge, hoping that one day, the truth will finally come to light.
