Colonel Kenneth and Christine Penmark paint the perfect picture of domestic bliss, their love radiating through every aspect of their lives. This harmony is disrupted when the colonel's duties call him to Washington D.C., leaving Christine on her own to care for their eight-year-old daughter, Rhoda.
