Plot

In the pulsating heart of the city, five seemingly mundane bookkeepers break free from their ledgers for a night of revelry, celebrating the imminent nuptials of their colleague, Arnold. As the best man and last of the bachelor brigade, Eddie is the envy of his friends, who find his carefree existence tantalizing amidst their own marital realities. Among them, Charlie stands out, a man grappling with an unsatisfying life he can't comprehend, despite his hard work and nighttime academic pursuits. His pregnant wife, Helen, feels like a stranger due to their lack of shared moments. As the night unfolds under the intoxicating influence of camaraderie and libations, the men's insecurities and concerns peel away, revealing a raw vulnerability. Arnold, on the precipice of marriage, confides his trepidations about love to Charlie, while Walter, the group's elder, imparts wisdom that prompts a deeper contemplation of life. Amidst the revelry, a chance encounter with a girl at a bohemian Greenwich Village party acts as a catalyst, pushing Charlie to confront the undercurrent of his discontent - an unspoken fear of impending fatherhood. A surprise revelation from Walter and Eddie's desperate pursuit of enjoyment add further layers to this introspective journey. As the sun rises, marking the end of their unforgettable night, the men find themselves irrevocably changed, particularly Charlie. The night's experiences help him realize the true essence of his life, culminating in a profound understanding that's as surprising as it is enlightening.
