Plot

Centering around the compelling true tale of Freddy and Walter, two young Slovak Jews thrust into the horrors of Auschwitz in 1942, The Auschwitz Report unveils a story of daring escape and unyielding resilience. On April 10, 1944, following a meticulously crafted plan and bolstered by the fortitude of their fellow prisoners, they seize their chance at freedom. As their courageous comrades hold their ground against the ruthless Nazi officers, the duo embarks on a perilous journey, fueled by the hope that their testimonies could turn the tide of war. Wounded and starved, they navigate the treacherous mountainous terrains back to Slovakia, their path lit by the flame of hope flickering in their hearts. A series of fortuitous encounters aids their journey, eventually leading them across the border where they meet the resistance and The Red Cross. In a world still under the sway of Nazi propaganda and entangled international liaisons, they painstakingly compile a detailed report of the systematic genocide they witnessed. Their account, however, ripples through the world as a tale too grim to comprehend, a testament to the reality of human atrocity that is The Auschwitz Report.
