Plot

In the tumultuous year of 1944, amidst the heart of Hungary, the narrative of The Aryan Couple unfurls. Joseph Krauzenberg, a prosperous Jewish industrialist, finds himself ensnared in a devilish bargain with the Reichführer, Heinrich Himmler. With his empire of a 3,000 employee factory, a grand palace adorned with antiques and art, a fortune in gold and his very home as the stakes, the game is cruelly rigged. The bait? The safe passage of Krauzenberg's large family, currently in the clutches of the Gestapo, to the neutrality of Switzerland and henceforth to Palestine. As the deal takes shape, a dinner is arranged between the Krauzenbergs and Himmler, with the ruthless Eichmann ordered to keep the family unharmed. Himmler further ensures the palace's security with the SS Edelhein, while the narrative subtly shifts to the Krauzenbergs' German house servants, Hans Vassman and his enchantingly pregnant wife, Ingrid. Unbeknownst to their masters, they are in fact the Jewish resistance members David and Leila Steinberg. The climax builds as the Krauzenbergs conclude their perilous negotiation with Himmler, and Ingrid reveals their true identities. However, the agreement is already sealed, leaving Joseph powerless to alter the fate of the young servants. Thus, The Aryan Couple presents an intricate weave of desperation, deception, and the sheer will to survive amidst the darkest times.
