That's My Boy (1951)

At the heart of Ridgefield College's storied athletic legacy stands the unmatched Jarring Jack Jackson, a football titan whose exploits on the field remain untouched. But his greatest challenge is not on the gridiron, but in the form of his son, Junior - a bookish youngster more prone to sneezing fits than scoring touchdowns. Undeterred, the persistent Jackson uses his status as the college's top alumni benefactor and his athletic fame to cajole the coach into accepting Junior onto the team. In an attempt to fast-track Junior's transformation, Jackson foots the bill for the tuition of Bill Baker - a promising athlete teetering on the brink of financial ruin. The only string attached: Bill must share quarters with Junior, acting as his mentor both on the field and in the intricate dance of social life. However, the plan backfires spectacularly. Junior's debut as a quarterback is nothing short of a disaster, and the situation further spirals when both roommates find themselves ensnared in a romantic tangle with the same captivating co-ed. As the much-anticipated homecoming game looms on the horizon, a maelstrom of complications threaten to shatter their hopes, testing their resolve in ways least expected.
