Ten Wanted Men (1955)

In the sun-scorched town of Ocatilla, the stalwart rancher, John Stewart, throws open his ranch doors in warm welcome to his lawyer brother Adam and eager nephew Howie, who are newly arrived with dreams of implementing law and order. A festive gathering takes a tense turn when the young Howie is drawn to the alluring Maria Segura, a Mexican girl who has been under the thumb of the unscrupulous Wick Campbell since her orphaned childhood. As Campbell attempts to control Maria's fate, John intervenes and offers her sanctuary on his ranch, sparking an escalating vendetta with the vengeful Campbell. In retaliation, Campbell gathers ten ruthless gunslingers to do his dirty work. Methodically and mercilessly, he seizes lands under false pretenses, rustles John's cattle with his band of hired guns, and frames the unsuspecting Howie in a saloon duel that leads to his arrest. The peak of Campbell's destructive campaign arrives with the cold-blooded murder of Adam Stewart on a desolate road. Believing he has toppled John Stewart's world, Campbell's band of outlaws turns on him and runs rampant through Ocatilla.
