In the heart of his tech-driven world, 12-year-old Marco finds solace, his eyes glued to his iPad screen in the comfort of his own home. His life spins in a different direction when his beloved grandmother passes away, and his vivacious grandfather, "Nonno", moves in. Marco's hitherto solitary existence is swept into a whirlwind of outdoor adventure as Nonno introduces him to the age-old Italian game of bocce ball. The neighborhood springs to life as Nonno guides Marco to a tight-knit crew of lively old Italian men, who compete with fervor in the local court. Marco quickly learns the rules of the game, but also the rules of life. He finds that the bocce ball court is not just a battleground for the sport, but also a realm of laughter, love, and camaraderie. Inspired by the spirited seniors and the newfound joy of human connection, Marco rallies a group of neighborhood kids to form a bocce ball team of their own. The stage is set for an epic clash of generations as Marco's youthful squad prepares to take on Nonno and his seasoned friends. As the lines between competition and companionship blur, Marco embarks on a journey of self-discovery, understanding the true essence of life beyond the digital world.
