Plot

A decade past, we breathed life into a vibrant 14-minute short film, 'Tap Heat'. This cinematic gem artfully juxtaposed the timeless charm of traditional tap dance with its modern, innovative rendition, brought to life by a fresh wave of passionate dancers. Our latest creation, 'Tap World', aims to capture the pulsating resurgence of this quintessentially American art form, now embraced and celebrated on a global scale. Building on the waves of enthusiasm stirred by 'Tap Heat', we sent out a call to the world's dancers, choreographers, and dance companies, inviting them to contribute to a feature-length documentary that transcends borders. The response echoed from every corner of the globe; a staggering 114 submissions from thirteen diverse countries poured in. In 'Tap World', we delve deeper than the rhythmic dance routines. We unravel the personal stories behind the performers, infusing human connection into the captivating dance sequences. This global documentary is a testament to the universal language of tap dance, an exploration of personal narratives, and an invitation for audiences worldwide to experience the thrilling resurgence of this iconic art form.
