Blackfish (2013)

Humans captured Tilikum near Iceland in 1983. He was transported to Sealand of the Pacific soon after. During that time, Tilikum endured harassment from other orcas held in captivity. The documentary surmises these incidents help make Tilikum more aggressive than he would be in the wild. Various scientists and trainers then attest to the danger of keeping orcas in captivity. Tilikum later was involved in the deaths of three human beings. These attacks occurred in various locations, including SeaWorld. During the documentary, commentators discuss what led to the attacks and what caused Tilikum's high level of aggression during his lifetime.
