Dr. Manoj Sharma, a London-based physician, embarks on a journey back to his roots, Delhi, in the company of his doting parents, Kishan and Anju. The journey takes them further to the rustic locale of Chaman Ganj, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, where they meet the vivacious Tanuja Trivedi - Manoj's prospective bride. Charmed by her spirit, Manoj is ready to tie the knot, getting the wheels of wedding preparations in motion. However, the proceedings take a sudden turn when Tanuja reveals her secret, shattering Manoj's dreams - she is in love with another man, and plans to defy her parents to be with him. They meet amidst the jubilance of another wedding - that of Jaspreet Singh Jassi and Payal Sinha.
