Two years since their debut adventure, Tad Jones, a humble construction worker turned archaeology student, and Sara Lavrof, a renowned explorer, now lead separate lives. When Sara unearths the last clue to the location of King Midas' fabled necklace, she invites Tad to an exhibition in Las Vegas, where he hopes to rekindle their relationship. However, an unexpected visit from the banished mummy of Paititi disrupts Tad’s plans, obliging him to embark on his journey with his loyal dog Jeff and the mummy in tow.
