Plot

In the heart of a mid-life crisis, David finds himself teetering on the edge of despair. His marriage is crumbling, he battles with impotence, and his bank account runs dry. His girlfriend, Alice, remains his steadfast pillar in the midst of the turmoil, even as she contends with the looming demise of the magazine she writes for. Desperate to break free from his mundane existence, David stumbles upon an intriguing online world – the provocative sphere of swingers. This discovery triggers a storm of sordid propositions flooding their home-laptop, initially appaling Alice. However, she soon sees this clandestine world as the breakthrough 'story' she needs to rescue her career. The idea of unveiling the swinging scene stirs a whirlwind of excitement in Alice's office and, despite David's reservations, she is urged to delve into this unknown territory. Their initial hesitant dip into the swinging world is a comically dismal initiation. Yet, an unforeseen revival of David's virility provides them with the unexpected motivation they require. As they venture further, events spiral out of their grasp, pushing their once affectionate relationship into uncharted waters. This journey into the shadows, touched by the hands of strangers, forces them to introspect and question their identities, both individually and as a couple. With their relationship teetering on the brink, Alice and David find themselves entangled in the complex web of the poly-amorous world. A place where love stories struggle to survive, and where they must either discover themselves anew or risk losing each other forever. SWUNG is a poignant, humorous, and explicit exploration of a contemporary relationship tested to its emotional and sexual extremes.
