In the small town of New Jersey, high school senior Ben Cronin has painstakingly stitched together a new life, leaving behind a troubled past of juvenile delinquency and drug-induced crimes. Now, he's the star swimmer of his high school team, spurred on by the unwavering support of his long-term girlfriend Amy Miller and his passion for competitive swimming. His remarkable transformation and talent have even caught the eye of scouts from Stanford University, who are set to watch him compete in a week's time. Ben's life, however, takes a tumultuous turn with the arrival of Madison Bell, a captivating new student who quickly becomes infatuated with him. Despite being in a committed relationship with Amy, Ben falls victim to Madison's seductive charm. They share a clandestine encounter, promising it to be a one-time event. But Madison has other plans, plans that Ben is slow to realize. Even as he tries to maintain the delicate balance of his life, attending grueling swimming practice, working part-time at the same hospital where his single mother does, and nurturing his relationship with Amy, Madison's presence becomes increasingly ominous. As Madison's dark past begins to surface, Ben discovers the chilling extent of her obsession. He must now navigate this perilous situation, wrestling back control of his life from his relentless stalker. Madison's true reason for being in New Jersey adds another layer of suspense to Ben's struggle, making him realize that reclaiming his life will be more challenging than he had ever imagined.
