In the heart of Nazi-occupied Poland, 1943, four youthful souls find themselves entwined in a tapestry of fate. Romek, a Polish railway worker, and Guido, a German soldier stationed in the village, share a mutual love for jazz and an attraction for the same captivating girl. Simultaneously, their lives intersect with Franka, the affluent farmer's daughter, and Bunia, a Jewish escapee from the death train, each grappling with their own trials within this harsh reality. Their paths converge in a whirlwind of unexpected encounters and shared emotions, as they discover love amidst the bleak landscape of war. This potent force serves as both a sanctuary from the horrors engulfing them and a perilous snare that could shatter their fragile dreams.
