Sugar & Spice (2001)

In the heartlands of America, two youthful lovers are caught in a whirlwind of romance and chaos: Diane, the effervescent captain of the cheerleading squad, and Jack, the star quarterback of the local high school team. Their carefree lives take a drastic turn when Diane's pregnancy leads to them being ousted from their homes. Struggling to make ends meet on Jack's meager earnings from a video store, they trade their idyllic teenage existence for a cramped apartment and a harsh reality check. Despite their circumstances, their spirit remains unbroken, with Diane leading her cheerleading squad and Jack still ruling the football field. But as the weight of their financial predicament bears down on them, Diane hatches a daring plan. She enlists the aid of her loyal cheerleaders - vivacious Kansas, enigmatic Cleo, quirky Lucy, sweet Hannah, and the fresh-faced Fern - in a bold scheme to rob a bank. Bound by their cheerleader oath of unity, they find themselves committing to a cause that's far from the pep-rallies they're used to. A local thug, seeing an opportunity to benefit, provides them with the necessary firearms in exchange for a spot on the cheerleading squad for his less-than-cheerful daughter. Meanwhile, their activities don't go unnoticed. Lisa, their bitter rival from the B-squad, begins to suspect something amiss. Thus unfolds a captivating tale of teenage love, cheerleader camaraderie, and an audacious bank heist, where pom-poms meet pistols and high school drama takes a dramatic new twist.
