Plot

"Stones" (Piedras) paints a poignant picture of life's greatest pursuits - love, friendship, family, and career, represented as large, imposing stones. These metaphorical stones are the cornerstone of existence, and only by organizing them, can one make room for the smaller stones, the seemingly insignificant necessities of life. The film delves into the stories of five women, each entangled in their unique battles with these stones. Anita, Isabel, Adela, Leire, and Maricarmen, the heroines of this Spanish tale, are each grappling with the disarray of their unsorted stones. As envisioned by director Ramón Salazar, these women embody the struggle of life's unfulfilled Cinderellas, yearning for their elusive prince charming and a fresh lease on life. Their paths are parallel yet conflict-ridden, and each woman is on a relentless mission to clear the obstructive stones littering their journey's path, or worse, the ones causing discomfort in their shoes. "Stones" is a compelling narrative of these women's endeavours to rearrange their lives and make room for the larger stones - the ones that truly matter. It's a testament to the human spirit's resilience and the relentless pursuit of a life that holds space for the essential and the extraordinary.
