Stir of Echoes (1999)

Telephone linesman Tom lives in a house in Chicago with his wife and son. After his sister-in-law hypnotizes him one night at a party, he begins to have visions of a young girl in danger. Tom soon learns that the description of a girl from the neighborhood who disappeared and has never been found fits the girl in his visions. As he begins to probe the mystery of what happened to her, the danger to him and his family grows.
