Plot

In the depths of the cosmos, an alien entity, drawn by an invitation sent on the 1970s Voyager space probe, embarks on a journey to Earth. The celestial emissary is greeted with hostility, his spacecraft fired upon, crippled, and forced to land. With only three days to reach the vast crater near Winslow, Arizona, for a rescue mission, he assumes a human guise, startlingly identical to the late husband of a woman named Jenny Hayden. Jenny, a widow entwined in the tendrils of grief, is initially terrified when the alien entity, now known as Starman, mirrors her deceased husband. Her fear morphs into bewilderment as she becomes an unwilling participant in an otherworldly race against time. Starman, navigating the intricacies of human existence, seeks Jenny's reluctant assistance to reach his rendezvous point before his life force extinguishes. As the pair journey together, a blossoming understanding softens Jenny's initial terror, and she finds herself caring for this extraterrestrial visitor wearing her husband's face. All the while, they are hunted by relentless government agents, their every move shadowed by the looming specter of capture. Starman is a tale of connection and understanding forged in the most bizarre circumstances, where the boundaries of humanity are tested, and the vastness of the cosmos is brought intimately close.
